Facebook launches Avatars, its Bitmoji competitor, in India

The social media platform Facebook has launched a new feature in India, introduced as Avatars. Simply put, Avatar features a photo of feature users in cartoon style. However, users can customize this cartoon according to their own. In this, apart from various types of face masks, users are provided with hairstyles and outfits, users can change these and customize Avatar. This customized Avatar will also be in Indian style.

Users can use Facebook avatar as comment, story, their profile picture. This Avatar feature will also be active in Facebook’s chat window. Also, you can share Avatar in WhatsApp chat as well. The Bitmoji Type Avatars were launched in the US in May before India. Through Facebook Avatars, users will be able to share their emotions in the best way. Meaning users will be able to present themselves online in a good way through Avatars. Also, users will be able to make their messaging experience unique.

How to make your own Avatar?

With the help of Facebook’s Avatar Creator, people will be able to represent themselves in many dimensions in many ways. For this, you will get the option to change facial features, hair and outfits. Users able to bookmark this creator on the Facebook app. It is quite easy to use.

  • To create your avatar, use your mobile device and go to the Facebook or Messenger comment composer.
  • Click on the “smiley” button, and then the sticker tab. 
  • Click “Create Your Avatar”! Or find the avatar creator in the Bookmarks section in your Facebook app. 

It is important to note that Avatar creation from Messenger is currently only available on Android, but will be rolled on iOS soon.
